If you’ve never been to the Bellamy Mansion in downtown Wilmington, NC, you’re missing out! At 10,000 square feet, this 150 year old behemoth has seen its share of history, and now its a wedding venue!
As soon as I stepped foot inside the first floor, I knew I wanted to do something Vogue-inspired here. The crown molding, ornate gold frame mirrors, and opulent chandeliers all scream to be photographed with a luxury flair. Good thing that’s what I specialize in.
When I think of a fashion-inspired shoot, I think of a few makeup artists in town who can pull of something different. Something edgy. Kelly and Becky from Silverceiling are on the shortlist.
Kelly brought the thunder this time around with dramatic dark red eye makeup, and Becky got creative using some spare bubble wrap I had laying around to make our bride’s hair absolutely HUGE.
The dress was supplied by The Wedding Dress Shoppe. They carry some of the most exclusive gowns in Wilmington, so if you haven’t got your dress yet please go see them! Their store is gorgeous, clean, and the hospitality is second to none.
Shoutout to Harris Teeter for carrying beautiful flowers at affordable prices lol. Couldn’t have made the flower crown without you!
Enjoy the photos.
