Let me tell ya about my weekend. Brides, brides everywhere….in tutus, and inner-tubes, and zombie makeup.

They came. They competed. And they won….BIG.

These future brides and their #sqauds teamed up this past Sunday to compete in the annual ‘Bridal Wars’ event that came to Wilmington this year, and there was no way I was going to miss it.

Don’t be fooled by my enthusiasm, I was sweating puddles due to the fact that we were in a giant Crossfit gym with no A/C in 100 degree weather….but all smiles here!

So us vendors were challenged with the task to host a ‘competition’ of some sort at our booths and to provide the winning bridal team with a prize (learned how to make a cool gift certificate thing on my computer a few hours prior—convienent).

We decided on a ‘Photo re-creation’ challenge where the ladies viewed a few of my best group pictures from previous weddings I had shot and had to best re-create the poses and the winner won a whopping $750 off of one of my services.

Just look at all the fun we had. Pictures can explain it better than I can.

This group was called ‘The Wedding Crashers’
And they delivered.

The enthusiasm among the crowd was awesome. Shooting these teams was more fun than work.

Notice our fellow wedding vendor in the corner hugging the fan. Yes, it was THAT hot in there. But that didn’t stop these teams from giving these pictures their all.

There was one team that stood out to us though.

Marby’s Mermaids definitely brought their ‘A-game’ and clearly had tough competition but were the ultimate winners! Great job ladies and a big congrats to all the future brides we met!

So after a day filled with (fake zombie) blood, (excessive) sweat and tears, we survived Bridal Wars 2016 and had a blast doing it.
