In April of 2016 Katie and I had the itch for some warmer weather and jetted on down to Martinique, a French island in the Caribbean with crystal clear water and a super diverse terrain.
We spent nearly two weeks there, and saw A LOT of stuff.
However, I took minimal photos with my professional camera due to overheating issues. This place was FREAKING SCORCHING.
Enjoy the photos!
Last month I had the privilege of photographing a young mother and her family, but this family portrait session in particular was quite special. Only four months prior Missy had lost her baby girl.
Missy and I met before the portrait session to discuss the sensitive situation, and planned how we could tell her story. We decided to create a short film celebrating her daughter’s life,...
Just over a year ago Katie turned the big THREE OH (30) and for her birthday we went to Greece! More specifically we spent just over a week on the tiny island paradise of Santorini.
We had made an agreement that for our 30th birthdays we would each get to pick somewhere we REALLY wanted to go on vacation.
I picked Colorado back in 2016. You can see the photos from that trip here.
We also used...
This is the third and final post of my epic three part Scotland wedding extravaganza. You can check out part 1 here, and part 2 here.
Somewhere in the middle of our honeymoon in Scotland, we had the privilege of staying at the BEAUTIFUL Ord House Hotel, a historic home converted into a bed and breakfast.
We knew immediately when we got there we’d be doing a photoshoot in the garden. We...
Every year since I’ve met Katie, the day after Christmas we go to her Uncle’s house in Florida and stay til New Year’s.
One year in particular Katie got it in her head that we should take the ferry from Fort Lauderdale to Aruba and stay for New Year’s. It was only like $80 as opposed to the $400 plane ticket so I agreed.
That was the beginning of the worst four hours of...
You only turn 30 once, and Katie and I decided we should each get to pick a place to go on vacation for our 30th.
In 2016, it was my turn, and since our birthdays are only a day and a year apart it would be her turn in 2017!
I decided on a cabin in the woods. Specifically a little town called Nederland, just outside Boulder, Colorado.
To this day it is one of my favorite vacations EVER! I was...
Last week the Coastline Convention Center hosted the 3rd Annual Operation Pretty Things ONE Gala. For the third year in a row I was there to photograph the event, and it was a doozy!
Wilmington high society turned up by the hundreds to support this wonderful organization that empowers victims of domestic violence. 1 in 4 women will be a victim in their lifetime!
I remember the first event I...
This summer I met with Joy Wade, the program manager of Going Beyond the Pink (GBTP) – a local Wilmington breast cancer charity, to discuss a potential fundraiser project. In less than 30 minutes, 50 FABULOUS WOMEN was born.
The project’s mission is to raise much needed funds for the charity, and to empower women through beautiful modern portraiture. Each participant donates $100,...
This is Part Two of my epic three-part blog post of our Scotland wedding trip. You can check out part one here.
After the wedding we still had another two days at the castle, so we spent time exploring the 600+ acre property.
Of course I brought my professional camera, and got some EPIC shots of Katie climbing the rocks on the castle beach.
After the castle, we headed back to Edinburgh,...
Since moving to Wilmington just over three years ago, my wife Katie and I have taken a lot of road trips back to Los Angeles to visit family and friends.
I grew up in Arizona so we stop at my parents’ house and see them on the way to LA.
Each time we went back, we took a different route, and doing this three or four times we’ve managed to see 43 states together!
I was going through...
