Buckle up for another styled shoot at two of Wilmington’s best wedding venues. My team of professionals made our way through 128 South, Bakery 105, and The Cottage on Orange Street all in one photo-filled day!
The purpose of this shoot was to show off the features of each venue from a wedding photographer’s perspective. If you’re a bride and considering having your wedding at one of these incredible venues, this post is for you! The owners were generous enough to let us have the spaces to ourselves so we were able to take our time and show you exactly where we think the best photographs are taken at each unique venue.
Don’t forget to check out the interview we did with the wonderful staff!
We began with the adorable bridal suite, The Cottage on Orange Street. Kelly and Becky from Silverceiling Beauty Consulting did the hair and makeup for our beautiful bride Scarlett Randall. We decided to go with a high fashion updo to compliment our modern wedding dress, and the team didn’t disappoint. Silverceiling also offers the most unique bridal accessories for your special day, including an ultra-luxurious silk romper by Ida Lou Weddings you’ll see Scarlett rocking below.
After Scarlett got into her Justin Alexander wedding dress available at The Wedding Dress Shoppe in Wilmington, we all ran across a rain-soaked street to take shelter in Bakery 105, where we took some of the most beautiful bridal portraits in front of the building’s original brick walls. Kelly from Silverceiling brought along her adorable Pomeranian Oskar, who actually has his own Instagram. You can follow him here. We had to get pictures with him, so I had Scarlett hold him in front of a pipe and drape backdrop nearby. Cuteness overload!
Last but certainly not least was 128 South! Also across the street, this super unique venue has an indoor AND outdoor space. The inside is where we focused our efforts, but if we had the time we definitely would have went out to the HUGE back patio. The indoor portion is two stories, and has exquisite wood floors top and bottom! There’s also a beautiful staircase which are prime real estate for bridal portraits!
