What a day for an engagement session! One of the hottest of 2017 – 4th of July weekend! Good thing Stephanie got her makeup done by Brittani Antoinette…you could cut the humidity with a dull butter knife.

These engagement photos in particular have been a long time coming – considering Jeff + Stephanie booked me 2 years out from their wedding date! I’m in demand people…recognize 😉

They’re having their wedding at Airlie Gardens next June, and since they live in Florida we wanted to make the most of their time in Wilmington – so we split the time for their session into two locations: Airlie and Wrightsville Beach.

We started in the Spring Garden area at 4pm, and we only had an hour since Airlie closes at 5. A very attentive man on a golf cart reminded us several times.

After losing a few pounds in sweat we headed to the beach and at the end of the session Steph + Jeff got in the ocean to cool off. Despite the heat it was an amazing session with a fabulous pair of lovebirds whose wedding I cannot wait to photograph next year.
