If you haven’t had the chance to check out Long Creek Farms and their beautiful wedding venue yet, you’re missing out! Tammy with Southern Bridal Events is in charge of the property, and she’s done an amazing job transforming a tree and hay farm into a hidden gem just outside Wilmington.

The venue is located in Rocky Point, NC and features a full bridal suite, several ceremony sites, a wildflower meadow, and of course a gorgeous rustic barn. The barn has tons of Edison bulb string lights and chandeliers strung through the rafters, and houses large wedding receptions with no problem.

From a wedding photographer’s point of view there is no end to the amount of locations to take stunning bridal portraits, family formals, and anything in between.

I recently teamed up with Tammy to collaborate on a beautiful styled shoot to get the word out about this exquisite place. Tammy busted out her fine china, worked some magic with florals, and styled everything. I pretty much just had to click my shutter button to get amazing photo after amazing photo.

Our bride for the day was Chelsea, and her hair and makeup was done by the super talented Laura Mangin, whose work you can see on my blog from past shoots. Chelsea wore a Ellis Bridals dress that you can find at The Wedding Dress Shoppe next to Perry’s Emporium. We were going for a slightly bohemian look and the beads and layers of the dress worked perfectly for our theme.

The groom, Josh, was looking dapper in his Navy Blue suit and grey velvet bow tie. During the cake cutting, he snagged a bit of frosting and wiped it on Chelsea’s nose! Hilarious. The semi-naked pink drizzle wedding cake was provided by master sweets maker Tammy Hodge, owner of Creative Cake Design.

Any photographer with a little bit of talent can create show-stopping images at this venue, and if you’re a bride considering an outdoor ceremony you definitely want to take a tour of Long Creek Farms!
