This is Part Two of my epic three-part blog post of our Scotland wedding trip. You can check out part one here.
After the wedding we still had another two days at the castle, so we spent time exploring the 600+ acre property.
Of course I brought my professional camera, and got some EPIC shots of Katie climbing the rocks on the castle beach.
After the castle, we headed back to Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital city and home to the largest art festival in the world. The festival was going on the whole time we were there, and there were TONS of people walking the streets.
After Edinburgh, we rented a car and began the long drive up to the Scottish Highlands. I can say without a doubt the highlands are the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen. Impossibly green and loaded with steep rocky slopes, the Scottish Highlands look like something straight out of Jurassic Park.
We also stayed a night in the Isle of Skye, which featured the most dramatic landscapes we saw all trip. Absolutely stunning place.
We came away with some INCREDIBLE photos, and memories that will last forever.
There’s still one more part to this epic three-part blog post. We stayed at a bed and breakfast in the highlands called The Ord House. They have absolutely GORGEOUS gardens and grounds and Katie and I did a photoshoot to show off her new dress.
Stay tuned for that soon!
Enjoy the photos 🙂
