Megan knew she wanted her engagement photos to be taken in the snow. It was decided in September of 2015. 4 months later at the end of January, she got her wish. The mighty East Coast Blizzard of 2016 pounded the east coast with as much as 30 inches of snow, and on a beautiful ice cold Saturday I travelled up north to Richfield, North Carolina with Megan and her Fiance PJ to take advantage of nature’s fury.
Megan and PJ are not just my clients, they’re my friends. So it was easy to talk details with them regarding exactly what they wanted to get out of this photoshoot. We were lucky that one of Megan’s relatives had a small farmhouse on a beautiful pond and lots of acres to play in. The plan was simple: shoot for 30 minutes, go back inside and change outfits, sip a little champagne, go back out and shoot for another 30 minutes, repeat.
We all had an awesome time freezing our butts off together. And the images that came out of that day are some of the best I’ve ever taken.
