When I moved to Wilmington, NC from Los Angeles about 4 months ago, I was a wedding photographer. But I was a wedding photographer without a niche. I didn’t have a style that I could call my own. After months of soul searching I’ve finally found what makes me unique.
COLOR.
This post is to officially announce that if you want to book me as your wedding photographer, be prepared for a healthy dose of the good stuff.
Now I won’t go crazy at your ceremony and insist on painting your wedding dress, but my ideal clients will appreciate color and want to incorporate it in some way.
Throughout the next year or so I will be doing a ton of these styled shoots. Each time I want to feature a different color. I’m going to start with each color of the rainbow. ROYGBIV baby!!
Stay tuned for updates and blog posts throughout the year, and keep an eye on my instagram @marcusanthonyphoto for sneak previews of the shoots. Don’t be afraid to e-mail me with ideas either!
Now for the moment you’ve all been waiting for! I would like to thank Melissa Burton from Knot Too Shabby Events for helping me with the logistics of this shoot. There were many people involved, and I couldn’t have organized it without Melissa.
Tammy Hodge from Creative Cake Design provided a drop dead gorgeous tiered cake with delicious buttercream icing and fondant flowers.
Kristy Holt from Eco Chic Blossoms in downtown Wilmington scrambled last minute and put together three separate flower arrangements for the shoot. If you haven’t seen her studio on 4th street you HAVE GOT TO GO!
Tyler Kent with Tyler Kent Salon was also a last minute addition to the team, and ended up doing a fabulous job not just on the hair, but on the makeup as well! She’s the one responsible for the incredible pink lips on our model. She also helped to style the set and her attention to detail is equal to no other.
Joanne Miranda from Camille’s of Wilmington not only provided a gorgeous dress, but took the time to personally fit our model Justice Warner (@jtxwarner) at her shop.
Shout out to Michael Moore Antiques and Cape Fear Antique Center as well for supplying a beautiful Victorian couch and ceramic tea set.
ETC Party Rentals and Vintage Chic Rentals also provided table linens and a pair of awesome vintage lace umbrellas. Thanks guys!
Enjoy the images!
